Marvi Blandon was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. After moving to Utah with her family in 2000, she attended Brigham Young University where she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. Shortly after graduating, she moved to New York City to pursue a Masters degree in Social Work at Columbia University and then worked for four years as a Social Worker for a non-profit organization that focused on providing preventive services for at-risk Latino immigrant children, youth and families in upper Manhattan. While Marvi grew to love the city life and the every day hustle and bustle, she ended up moving back to UT in 2014 to be closer to her family again. For the past 8 years, Marvi has worked in Human Resources and Recruiting, a field of work that she's grown to love and really enjoys. Marvi is a strong advocate of working mothers and loves to get involved with local organizations to help others find opportunities and resources to succeed in their careers. When she's not working, you can find her going on adventures with her two sons and husband, camping, reading books, and traveling.
